“Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they’ve been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It’s an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It’s a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” - Muhammad Ali aka The OG Great One
Working off a small injury, I thought it would be fun to recollect on some throwback spring turns from last season and put together a little edit from The Great One.
Bri Baker and I decided to bike (more like hike-a-bike), hike, and then ski down before the full Fairy Lake Road opened. This with the assumption that the traffic in this couloir would be low and we'd be able to escape for a day. The solitude we were seeking showed itself and we happened to be one of two groups skiing it. (Well, other than several groups of mongrels hiking up to Fairly Lake that thought we were crazy.) The serenity of getting lost in thought while exploring sensory non-overload in the backwoods has always been the rush I tend to gravitate towards and this time it was just that. Occasional chitchat sprinkled with dashes of silence saturated the day. Lets just say Bri and I solved all of the world problems. Give the 2m flick a look to see if you can join in on the conversations.
