THE APPROACH
★ Best Directing in a Short, winner, Oceanside International Film Festival
Mountainfilm & Mountain Film on Tour (2022), Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival, Banff Mountain Film Festival programming, Seattle Asian American Film Festival (2022), Backcountry Film Festival, 2021–22 tour
Vasu sets out to ski the Skillet Glacier on Mount Moran with Emilé Zynobia and Zahan Billimoria. The film isn't meant to make viewers feel inspired. It asks them to act on the barriers that keep disabled people, communities of color, and others out of the outdoors, and to consider what real solidarity looks like.
